SOS Feature - Setup and Use

The SOS button is a physical button located on the back of the phone. If you find yourself in an emergency, simply press and hold this button for a few seconds, and the phone will automatically make a call and send an emergency SMS to up to 5 numbers.

You must configure the SOS emergency numbers to use this feature.

Setting up SOS numbers:

From Menu>Smart Help>SOS, or Menu>SPC Care>SOS depending on the version:

  • SOS status: Configure the status of the SOS feature: Enable or disable the checkbox.
  • SMS sending: Enable or disable sending an SMS while the SOS call is being made.
  • Siren: Enable/disable the SOS siren.
  • Message: Configure the SOS message. Write the help message that will be sent to the SOS numbers: By default, "SOS!".
  • SOS contacts: Configure the emergency numbers under “SOS numbers” (1 to 5).

Using the SOS feature:

During an emergency, press and hold the SOS button for a few seconds. The phone will emit an alert sound (siren), and the calling cycle will begin. The phone will activate the hands-free speaker and call the SOS numbers in consecutive order, also sending the SOS message by SMS. If there is no answer, it will move on to the next number until one of them answers. This cycle will repeat 3 times.

*Warning* If a number on the list has voicemail, the cycle will end.
