New message received
When you receive a new text message, the phone will emit a sound and display an on-screen alert. In addition, the icon will be displayed in the screen's status bar.
To open the message:
1. Select "Read" if the notification appears on the screen, or access the "Messages" --> "Received" menu.
2. Press the center button to open and read the message.
NOTE: The new message icon will remain displayed whenever there are unread messages.
Message options:
When you open a message, selecting "Option" allows you to:
- Delete: Deletes the message.
- Reply: Reply to the sender with an SMS message.
- Forward: Forward the message to another contact.
- Call: Make a phone call to the sender.
- Move: Move the message to the SIM card or phone.
- Add sender to contacts.
- Details: Message details.
Writing and receiving a message
Text entry:
The text entry mode is the type of characters used in messages, when entering contacts, etc. Pressing the # key allows you to access the different writing options and languages. The icon in the upper-right corner indicates the mode being used.
When writing messages, pressing Options gives you access to advanced functions such as adding predefined templates, emojis, etc.
