This watch is water-resistant and complies with the IPX8 classification of IEC standard 60529: a maximum depth of 1.5 meters for a maximum of 35 minutes and without movement. If any of these variables were to change (if the watch moves underwater, is exposed to high-impact splashes, currents, etc.), the watch’s protective capability against water could be affected. For this reason, the watch is not suitable for activities such as diving or swimming. In other water sports, mainly surface activities such as rowing or sailing, for example, it is possible to use the watch; however, keep in mind that in these situations the variables of depth, time, and movement are likely to change, so using the watch in these circumstances is not recommended. Water salinity is another variable that could affect the watch’s protective capability against water, so its use in salt water is not recommended either.
In addition, keep in mind that water resistance is not permanent; it decreases over time as the device is used, so damage caused by liquids is not covered by the warranty.
