First Use of SPC Circles: Create or Join a Circle

When you open SPC Circles or start a WUUM ONE or WUUM TAB for the first time, the app guides you step by step to set up your user profile and become part of a family circle.

A circle is the space where the family organizes itself within SPC Circles. From there, members can stay connected, communicate, and share information securely.

This process can follow two paths:

  • Create a new circle.
  • Join a circle created by someone else.

1. Welcome to SPC Circles

SPC Circles is a digital space designed to help families connect, communicate, and grow together in the digital world.

Tap Let's get started together to begin the setup.

2. Prepare the Family Devices

To participate in SPC Circles, each member must have the app installed on their own device.

Each person will use their device to log in, join the circle, receive invitations, and participate in the family space.

If all devices already have SPC Circles installed, continue with the setup.

If the app is missing on any device, scan the QR code displayed on the screen and download SPC Circles.

3. Create User or Log In

To use SPC Circles you need an SPC account.

You can log in with your username and password, or use other available methods such as Google, Apple ID, or Passkey.

If you don’t have an SPC account yet, tap Create now.

You can use the same email address to create different users within SPC Circles.

This is useful, for example, if you want to create an account for yourself and another for your child using the same email address.

Although they share the same email, each user will have their own profile and username. Afterwards, each person can log in with their corresponding user.

This way, a family can manage multiple accounts more easily without needing a different email for each user.

4. Add Profile Photo

You can add a profile photo to make it easier to identify yourself within the circle.

Tap the camera icon to add an image.

This step is optional. If you prefer to do it later, tap Skip for now.

5. Create or Join a Circle

After setting up your user, choose how you want to proceed.

Create a circle

Take a look first
Allows you to explore SPC Circles before creating or joining a circle.

6. Name the Circle

If you decide to create a circle, choose a name to identify it.

This name will appear on the main screen of members, so it’s best to use a clear and easy-to-recognize name.

Enter the name and tap Continue.

You can change it later from the circle settings.

7. Add a Photo to the Circle

You can add a photo to better identify the family circle.

The image will be associated with the circle and help recognize it on the main screen.

This step is optional. Tap Continue to proceed or skip for now to add the image later.

8. Add People to the Circle

Add the people who will be part of the circle.

You can do this in two ways:

Search
Search for the person by email or SPC account username.

QR Code
Scan the QR code from the other person’s device.

You can also continue without adding anyone at this time by tapping I don’t want to add anyone right now.

9. Invite by Email or Username

Enter the email or username of the person’s SPC account.

Then tap search to find them.

If you don’t want to continue, tap Cancel.

10. Scan a QR Code

If you choose to add someone via QR code, the device’s camera will open.

The first time, the system may ask for permission to use the camera.

Select allow while using the app to permit camera use while you use SPC Circles.

If you select Don’t allow, you won’t be able to scan the QR code at that time.

11. Show Your QR Code

If someone else is going to add you to their circle, show them your personal QR code.

This code identifies your user and is unique and non-transferable.

When the other person has scanned the QR or added you by email, tap they have scanned my QR or added my email.

12. Choose Each Person’s Role

When adding someone to the circle, select their role. The role defines their permissions within SPC Circles.

Administrator
Has full control of the circle. Can invite people, edit settings, and manage the circle.

Member
Participates in a standard way. Can chat, see locations, and share content.

Observer
Has read-only access. Cannot see locations or modify settings.

Supervisor
Has active parental supervision. Their permissions are configured by administrators.

13. Invitation Sent

The invitation has been sent successfully.

The invited person will appear in the circle once they accept the invitation.

You can add another person or continue without adding anyone else.

14. Confirm the Circle

Review the circle name and the people added or invited.

If everything is correct, tap Create Circle.

15. Circle Created

Your first circle is now created.

From this moment, it will appear on SPC Circles’ main screen.

You will be able to see its members, access conversations, and continue setting up the family experience.

16. Family Commitment

SPC Circles may suggest creating a family commitment.

The family commitment is a common agreement about device use. It serves to establish clear rules shared by all family members.

You can add your own rules or use the available suggestions.

When the commitment is ready, tap I commit.

17. Enable Notifications and Location

Enable notifications to receive important alerts from SPC Circles.

You can also enable location if you want to share it with authorized people in the circle.

These permissions allow you to make better use of the app’s features.

18. Complete the Initial Setup

The initial setup is complete.

You can now access SPC Circles and start using your family circle.
