Writing a Message
Select "Messages" from the Menu, and then "Write New" under Options. Next, enter the phone number or select the desired contact from "Contacts." Once the recipient is selected, press the down navigation key to type the text message.
The text input mode is the font type used in messages, when entering contacts, etc. You can access different writing options and languages by pressing the # key. The icon in the upper right corner indicates the mode being used.
In the "Messages" menu, under "Options," you have advanced functions for managing SMS messages.
New Message Received
When you receive a new text message, the phone will emit a sound and display a notification on the screen. The icon will also appear on the screen.
To open the message:
1. Select "Read" if the notification appears on the screen using the left function key, or access the "Messages" menu. New messages are marked with an icon featuring a red dot.
2. Press OK to open and read the message. Once read, the message will appear in the message list with an icon featuring a green dot.
NOTE: The new message icon will remain on the screen as long as there are unread messages.
Message options:
When you open a message, you can type an SMS reply at the bottom or select "Options" to:
- Add: Emoticons, templates, etc.
- Forward: Forward the message to another contact.
- Delete: Remove the message.
- Delete All: Remove all messages.
- Block.
- Move.
- Call: Make a phone call to the sender.
- Add to Contacts.
