SPC Kite allows you to assign applications to different categories, making it easier to organize them by type and enabling you to set usage limits and time ranges for each category.
When parental control is enabled, access to the device settings is completely blocked. Therefore, to access the settings, it will be necessary to do so from the SPC Kite app after temporarily disabling parental control (see the article "Permissions and PIN" for more information).
There is a category called “Free Use”. Applications assigned to this category can be used without time restrictions. For this reason, it is not possible to configure usage limits or time ranges for this category. Additionally, it is also excluded from the “Time Out” mode.
When the supervised person downloads a new application, it is automatically assigned to the “Pending” category. Applications included in this category must be reviewed by the administrator. Until they approve or reject them, the supervised person will not be able to use them.
Usage Limit
The usage limit defines the maximum amount of time applications in a category can be used during a day. For example, if a limit of 10 minutes is set, once that time is consumed, the category will be locked and the supervised person will not be able to access any of the applications assigned to it until the next day.
Time Range
The time range allows you to define a time slot during which the applications in a category will be available. For example, if a time range is set for Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, the applications assigned to that category will only be available during that period. At 1:00 PM they will be locked and will not be available again until the next scheduled time for that category.
