New Message Received
When you receive a new text message, the phone will emit a sound and display an on-screen notification. The icon will also be shown on the screen.
To open the message:
1. Select "Read" if the notification appears on the screen, then options and "View" or press the OK key. Or access the menu "Messages --> Inbox". New messages are marked with the icon of a closed envelope.
2. Press OK to open and read the message .
NOTE: The new message icon will remain on the screen as long as there are unread messages.
Message options:
When you open a message, you can:
- Reply: Respond to the sender with an SMS message or an MMS message.
- Delete: Delete the message.
- Forward: Forward the message to another contact.
- Call sender: Make a phone call to the sender.
- Move: Move the message to the Safe Inbox, to the original mailbox (if it was previously moved), to the SIM, or to the Phone.
- Add to contacts: Add the phone number that sent the SMS to a new or existing contact.
- Details: Shows who sent the SMS, the time, and where it has been stored.
Writing and Receiving a Message
Text Input:
The text input mode is the font type used in messages, when entering contacts, etc. With the # key you can access options: sSp, ssp, sSP, Sp, sp, SP, Abc, abc, ABC, 123, and other writing languages. The icon in the upper left corner indicates the mode in use.
