The SPC JETTY LITE DAB+ radio has three main operating modes: DAB+ Radio, FM Radio, and Bluetooth.
Selecting DAB+ Mode
With the device turned on, briefly press the POWER/MODE button to switch to DAB+ mode.
Press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds to access the DAB+ menu. Use the NEXT or PREV buttons to scroll through the different menu options, then press OK to confirm and enter the selected function.
When switching to DAB mode, if no radio stations have been scanned previously, an automatic scan will start. Once the scan is complete, the number of stations found will appear on the right side of the screen, and the first one found will start playing. You can use the PREV or NEXT buttons to browse the list of stations and press OK to play the selected one.
Function Menu in DAB+ Mode
Full Scan (Automatic Station Search)
- In DAB+ mode, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds to access the menu list. Use the PREV or NEXT buttons to select “Full Scan”.
- Press OK to confirm and start scanning for stations.
- When the scan is complete, the number of stations found will be displayed on the right side of the screen, and playback will begin with the first one found.
If the device is turned on after a factory reset, it will automatically start scanning for stations in DAB+ mode.
Saving DAB+ Presets
The DAB+ mode can store up to 40 stations:
- While listening to a DAB+ station, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds to open the menu. Then use the PREV or NEXT buttons to select “Save Preset” and press OK. The screen will show “1: Empty”. If a station is already saved in position 1, its name will appear.
- Use the PREV or NEXT buttons to choose the preset position where you want to save the station (positions 1–40).
- Once you’ve selected the desired position (for example, position 1), press OK; the screen will display “Preset 1 saved”.
Playing Saved DAB+ Stations
To play a previously saved station:
- While listening to a DAB station, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds to access the menu. Then use the PREV or NEXT buttons to select “Preset Memory” and press OK. The list of saved stations will appear.
- Use the PREV or NEXT buttons to select the preset number of the station you want to play.
- Press OK to confirm and play the selected station.
- To play other saved stations, repeat the steps above.
Manual Tuning (Manual Station Search)
- In DAB+ mode, press and hold the OK button for 2 seconds to access the menu. Then use the PREV or NEXT buttons to select “Manual Tuning”.
- Press OK to confirm; the screen will display “5A 174.928MHz”. Use PREV or NEXT to select frequencies from 5A to 13F.
- Once you’ve selected the desired frequency, press OK to confirm. The signal strength of that frequency will be displayed. If a station signal is found, the list of available stations will be stored, and playback will begin with the first one.
Deleting Invalid Stations
If a previously found or played DAB+ station no longer has a signal, you can open the menu, select “Prune”, and press OK to confirm. The DAB+ station list will remove stations with no signal while keeping the valid ones.
DAB+ INFO (Information Display)
DAB+ stations can broadcast additional text information, which will appear on your screen.
When listening to a DAB+ broadcast, you can briefly press the OK button to view the following information on the screen:
- DLS (Dynamic Label Segmentation): Text broadcast by the DAB+ station containing news, current songs, etc.
- PTY (Program Type): Shows the type of program being broadcast (Music, News, etc.).
- DAB+ Multiplex Name.
- Channel/Frequency: Displays the channel and frequency of the station, for example “11C 220.352MHz”.
- Signal Strength / Error Rate: Displays the radio signal strength.
- Audio Info: Displays the current digital data rate of the transmission.
- Date and Day of the Week: The device’s date and time are automatically set from this information.
