This watch is water-resistant and complies with the IPX8 rating of the IEC 60529 standard: maximum depth of 1.5 meters for a maximum of 35 minutes and without movement. If any of these variables are modified (if the watch moves underwater, receives high-impact water splashes, or encounters currents...), the watch's water protection capability could be altered. For this reason, the watch is not suitable for activities such as diving or swimming. In other water sports, mainly surface activities like rowing or sailing, for example, the watch can be used; but keep in mind that in these situations, it is likely that the variables of depth, time, and mobility will be altered, so the use of the watch in these circumstances is not recommended. Water salinity is another variable that could alter the watch's water protection capability, so its use in saltwater is also not advised. Furthermore, keep in mind that water resistance capability is not permanent; it decreases as time passes and the device is used, so damage caused by liquids is not covered by the warranty.
Microphone and Speaker
The SPC SMARTEE DUO 3 has a microphone and speaker. If water enters its compartment, the audio quality will be reduced until the water is expelled. In these cases, the Water Drainage function, available in the shortcuts, should be used. This function activates the speaker with a specific audio frequency to shake and remove any water droplets that may have adhered to the watch's speaker.
