New message received
When you receive a new text message, the phone will play a sound and show a notification on the screen. The icon will also be displayed on the screen.
To open the message:
1. Select "View" if the notification appears on the screen, or go to the "Messages --> Inbox" menu. New messages are marked with a closed envelope icon.
2. Press OK to open and read the message .
NOTE: The new message icon will remain on the screen as long as there are unread messages.
Message options:
When you open a message, you can:
- Delete: Deletes the message.
- Reply: Reply to the sender with an SMS or MMS message.
- Forward: Forwards the message to another contact.
- Call sender: Make a phone call to the sender.
- Move: Move the message to the Secure folder, to the original mailbox (if previously moved), to the SIM, or to the Phone.
- Add to contact: To add the phone number that sent the SMS to a new or existing contact.
- Details: Shows who sent the SMS, at what time, and where it was stored.
Writing a message
Text input:
The text input mode is the type of font used in messages, when entering contacts, etc. With the # key, you can access the options: sSp, ssp, sSP, Sp, sp, SP, Abc, abc, ABC, 123 and other writing languages. The icon in the upper left indicates the mode being used.
