This watch is water-resistant, meeting the IEC 60529 standard IPX8 rating: maximum depth of 1.5 m for up to 35 minutes at rest. If any condition changes (movement underwater, high-impact water jets, currents…) the protective performance may be affected. Therefore, the watch is not suitable for diving or swimming. It may be used in surface water sports (e.g. rowing, sailing) but note that depth, time and movement variables can change, so use under these conditions is not recommended. Salt water may also degrade the water resistance, so avoid use in seawater.

Additionally, water resistance is not permanent and decreases over time with use, so liquid damage is not covered by warranty.

Microphone and speaker

The SPC SMARTEE DUO VIVO 2 has a built-in microphone and speaker. If water enters their compartment, audio quality will degrade until the water is expelled.

In such cases use the Water Drainage shortcut, which activates the speaker at a specific audio frequency to shake off any water droplets.
