Getting started

Contents of the box:

• SPC COMFORT VOLUME PRO phone

• Coiled cable for the handset

• Flat telephone line cable

• Instruction manual

Step-by-step installation:

1. Insert the batteries:

   • Open the cover (26) at the bottom of the phone.

   • Insert 3 AA 1.5 V (LR06) batteries, observing the + and – signs.

   • Close the cover again.

   Note: Without batteries, the phone will still operate but won’t retain any memory. Also, the LCD screen won’t turn on or display anything when the handset is on-hook.

2. Connect the flat telephone cable:

   • One end goes into the back of the phone (where it says “TEL. LINE” (22)).

   • The other end goes into your home telephone socket.

3. Connect the handset:

   • Attach the coiled cable to the handset and the left side of the base (25).

4. Check that it works:

   • Lift the handset. If you hear a dial tone, it’s ready to use.
