Receiving a Call / Incoming Calls

When a call is received, the ringtone sounds, the RING LED (4) flashes, and the LCD display shows the caller’s number, date, time, incoming number, and the "NEW" icon.

If the same person calls again and the previous call has not been viewed, the LCD will show the REP icon.

When the incoming call memory is full, the newest incoming number replaces the oldest entry. It can store up to 66 records.

Note: To display the incoming number and other information, you must have an active Caller ID subscription with your local telephone company.

Answering the Phone:

  • Lift the handset.
  • Begin the conversation.
  • When finished, place the handset back on the cradle.

To boost the handset speaker volume for people with hearing difficulties, press the phone’s volume boost button (21).

For people with normal hearing, do not use the boost function. Excess volume could cause damage.

Switch to Hands-Free:

  • During a call, press the  (13) key and leave the handset on the base.
  • When finished, press the  (13) key to hang up.

Hands-Free Answering:

  • Press the  (13) key to activate the speakerphone.
  • Begin the conversation. To ensure clarity, speak directly into the speaker at a distance no greater than 30 cm.
  • When finished, press the  (13) key.

Making a Call

From the Handset:

  • Lift the handset. The indicator light (2) turns on.
  • Wait for the dial tone and enter the desired number.
  • When finished, place the handset back on the cradle.

From Hands-Free:

  • Press the  (13) key.
  • Wait for the dial tone and enter the desired number.
  • When finished, press the  (13) key.

From On-Hook (Pre-Dial):

  • With the handset on the base, dial the number using the numeric keypad (14). If you make a mistake, press the  (8) key to erase the last digit.
  • Lift the handset or press the  (13) key to dial.
  • When finished, lift the handset or press the  (13) key again to redial.

Return a Call from the Incoming List:

  • On-hook, press ▼▲ to access the incoming call list.
  • Select the desired number with ▼▲.
  • You can also lift the handset or press the  (13) key to call.

Dial from the Outgoing List:

  • Press the  (20) key, then press it again to scroll through the dialed numbers.
  • Lift the handset or press the  (13) key to dial.

Redial Last Number ()

To redial the last number:

Off-hook:

  • Lift the handset and press the  (12) key to call the last number dialed.
  • When finished, place the handset back on the cradle.

On-hook:

  • Press the  (13) key, then press the  (12) key to call the last number dialed.
  • When finished, press the  (13) key to hang up.

Review Incoming Call List

  • On-hook, press ▼▲ to access the incoming call list.
  • Select a number with ▼▲.
  • To delete a number: on-hook, when the desired number is displayed, press the  (8) key to delete it. Or press and hold the  (8) key for 3 seconds to delete all reviewed entries.
  • If the list is empty, the display will show “—END—” only when you reach the end of the list. If there are no calls, nothing will be displayed.
