NFC setting

Your DISCOVERY 3 PRO includes the NFC option which, for example, allows you to make payments with your credit card or withdraw money from an ATM, besides enabling wireless connections with other devices to exchange data.

Enable or Disable NFC

You can enable and disable NFC on your device whenever you want.

Go to Settings - Connected Devices - Connection Preferences - NFC - Use NFC

Make payments with your device

This feature has some particularities, and in the case of payments, it is subject to the issuing bank of your credit card and the settings in its own application.

Below, we explain how to use this option in different scenarios.

Use a third‑party app

One option to use the contactless payment function is to download your bank’s mobile app and grant it permission to perform those transactions with your smartphone.

Once you have activated this permission, simply unlock your device and bring it close to the payment terminal or ATM—the transaction will be read and executed.

It is important that, in the NFC settings of your smartphone, your bank's payment app is configured as the default.

To check, go to Settings - Connected Devices - Connection Preferences - NFC - Contactless Payments - Default Payment App and make sure that your bank’s app is selected.
