Functions

These are the watch functions available in the order in which they are displayed:

1. Call:

From here you can access the dial pad, call log, and the list of selected contacts and call them.

The watch can also receive calls. The ringtone and/or vibration will sound, and you can answer or reject the call:

In the settings, you can configure the ringtones and vibration mode. In the SMART CLAN app, you can set certain modes and restrictions for calls.

2. Chat:

You can send messages to a single user or use family chat to send a message to all linked devices. You can also send emojis. To send a voice message, hold down the “PRESS” button while recording. When you release the button, the message is sent.

Family chat members can send voice messages, text messages, and emojis.

3. Video Call:

You can make and receive video calls with the administrators of the SMART CLAN app.

To do so, select the contact and press Video Call. The communication will be established with bidirectional audio and video. Similarly, you can accept video conference calls. On the screen, the video image of the interlocutor will appear and you will hear the conversation through the built-in speaker. You can mute your own microphone. The video call is limited to a maximum duration of 5 minutes.

4. VoIP Call:

You can make and receive VoIP calls with the administrators of the SMART CLAN app. VoIP means that the audio communication is carried out over a data network: cellular or Wi‑Fi.

It is a function similar to the video call mentioned earlier, but without video. To do this, select the contact and press VoIP Call. The communication will be established with bidirectional audio. Similarly, you can accept VoIP calls from the administrators. You will hear the conversation through the built-in speaker and you can mute your own microphone.

5. Weather:

To check the current weather conditions, based on your location, it fetches the latest weather information for the nearest available area.

6. Add Friend:

You can connect several SMARTEE 4G JUNIOR watches.
This way, you can chat with friends who have the same model of watch.

Both watches must be near each other; a friendship request will be generated on one watch and received by the other, which can then be accepted. Once the bond is established, the friend’s name will appear in the contacts list and you can chat and video call.

On the caregiver’s phone, a notification will appear that the child has added a new friend.

7. Pair:

Here you will find the QR code and the code to pair it with the SMART CLAN app, something like this:

8. Steps:

The watch counts the steps you have taken during the day; here you can see the daily total.

In the SMART CLAN app, you can view your history and set a daily goal. By default, this goal is set to 8,000 steps per day.

9. Camera:

You can take photos using the front camera from here.

The primary use of the watch’s camera is for the video conferencing function. You can take photos, but they are for local use only; you cannot access them remotely or transfer them.

NOTE: There is a maximum available common memory space for voice recordings of about 11 minutes and for user photos of about 75-80 photos.

10. More:

In this menu, there are several sub-menus for secondary functions and access to the watch settings:

Alarm:
Allows you to view the alarms set on the watch. These alarms can only be set and enabled/disabled via the SMART CLAN app.

Here you can view your photos.

Stopwatch:

You will have a stopwatch available, with a function to stop and reset it.

You can receive SMS messages and reply with predefined SMS messages.

Screen Language:

You can change the language of the watch. By default, it is in Spanish; you can change it to English, French, Portuguese, Italian, and German.

Settings:

Here are the settings for the SPC SMARTEE 4G JUNIOR:

  • WiFi: To enable the watch’s WiFi connection. It scans for visible WiFi networks. You must select the WiFi Access Point, connect, and enter its access key.
NOTE: It is possible to operate the watch solely with a WiFi connection, without an operator SIM card, with certain limitations:
o It allows connection to the SMART CLAN app, bidirectional Chat, Video Call, and Location.
o It does not allow: Making and receiving phone calls.
  • VoLTE: To enable/disable the VoLTE function. By default it is On (enabled). VoLTE is a feature that allows making and receiving phone calls on the 4G network, without switching to 3G or 2G. Therefore, it is advisable to keep it enabled.
  • System Update: For detecting and downloading new software versions.
  • Access Points: Configuration of the operator's APNs. The Access Points (APNs) are your operator’s parameters for establishing a proper data connection.
NOTE: The watch comes preconfigured with the APNs of the major operators. If you cannot get the watch to connect, you must correctly configure these values by obtaining them from your operator. In this menu, you can edit existing APNs or add a new APN.
  • Data Roaming: Enable or disable data roaming. Disabling it can, for example, help avoid roaming charges when traveling to another country. If not enabled, the watch will not communicate via the cellular connection.
  • Power Off: To shut down or restart (turn off and on) the watch.
NOTE: It is possible to disable the watch’s power-off function from the SMART CLAN app. See the corresponding section.

11. SOS Function:

The lower side button of the watch can perform the emergency SOS function.

By continuously pressing that button (about 5 seconds), it starts calling the emergency contacts (without a siren sound) in sequential order, as they appear in the emergency contacts list.

The configuration is done via the SMART CLAN app. Up to three emergency contacts can be configured.

It calls each contact sequentially and, if they do not answer, repeats the calls for a total of 3 cycles. If there is no answer after three cycles, the call sequence stops. If a contact answers the call, communication is established via speaker and microphone.

This function is configured in the SPC SMART CLAN app, in the contacts list. See that section.

In the app, under Notifications, you can see the successful and unsuccessful SOS call attempts.

NOTE: Please note that if the called contact’s answering machine picks up, it will be considered as an answered call.
