First of all, thank you for trusting SPC. In this article, we will guide you so that you can get your DICKENS LIGHT 2 PRO up and running.
Turning on your SPC DICKENS LIGHT 2 PRO
To turn it on, press the power_settings_new button located at the bottom for about 5 seconds.
Once you press that button, the e-ink screen of your DICKENS LIGHT 2 PRO will light up.
A short press of this button puts the device into Standby (sleep) mode. In this state, a short press will turn on the device. This mode is recommended when using the reader frequently, as it allows for a faster startup.
If you are not going to use it, it is best to turn it off completely. To switch it off, press the button again for about 5 seconds.
Charging
Your DICKENS LIGHT 2 PRO comes with an internal battery. Before you start using it, you will need to charge it with a charger. We recommend using the USB cable provided among the accessories in the box and connecting it to a PC or Mac, or to the electrical outlet via a USB charger from your mobile or tablet (not supplied). It doesn’t matter whether the DICKENS LIGHT 2 PRO is on or off; once it is connected, the screen will light up and the charging process will begin.
Remember to charge the battery when:
- The empty battery icon appears on the screen battery_alert
- The buttons do not respond
- The reader does not function correctly under normal conditions
Battery Life
Your DICKENS LIGHT 2 PRO has a battery life of around 1 month; this may vary depending on usage, light intensity, and settings.
