Your DISCOVERY 3 includes NFC, which allows you, for example, to make payments with your credit card or withdraw money from an ATM, as well as connect wirelessly to other devices to exchange data.

Turn NFC on or off

You can turn NFC on and off on your device whenever you want.

Go to Settings -> Connected devices -> Connection preferences -> NFC -> Use NFC

Make payments with your device

This feature has some specific requirements, and when it comes to payments, it depends on the bank that issued your credit card and the settings in its own app.

Below, we explain how to use this option in different scenarios.

Use a third-party app

One option for using the  contactless payment feature is to download your bank's mobile app and give it permission to perform these operations with your smartphone.

Once you have enabled this permission, simply unlock your device and bring it close to the payment terminal or ATM. It will be read, and the transaction will be completed.

It is important that, in your smartphone's NFC settings, your bank's app for making payments is configured as the default.

To check this, go to Settings -> Connected devices -> Connection preferences -> NFC -> Contactless payments -> Default payment app and make sure your bank's app is selected.
